My Weekly Pedicure

This week I fancied something bright and different. My go to for bright nails? The Ice Neon collection from Models Own, now your meant to leave these in the fridge to get maximum 'neonness' hmm do you think that word will catch on? No me neither. I don't leave them in there mainly because its my mums fridge and she'll tell me to get them out as soon as she spots them. I have the whole 5 of them as I'm a sucker for bright polish, I wear quite toned down coloured clothes so I make up for it with my nails :)

The pink is 'Bubblegum' from the collection, the black triangle was made with striping tape and the heart studs were kindly sent to me by Born Pretty I honestly cant rave about this website more, I love it! There's also a little 10% off code to the right of my blog if you fancy using it :)

I'm also a big sucker for sparkles soooo this happened -
Just a teenie bit of glitter to catch the sun :)

What are your go to colours for summer?

Inversion Method - Update

Okay so... did I get hair growth? Yes. Was it an inch? No.
I got half an inch of growth and to be honest I didn't do the last two days, maybe that made a difference? After being back at work last week after two weeks off I really couldn't be bothered to do it when I got in, so half an inch in 5 days isn't so bad when you think about it, especially when your meant to get that in a whole month. I don't think ill be doing it again, mostly because I'm a lazy person haha and it is a lot of faffing about and messy!
Last month I used F.A.S.T shampoo and conditioner, I actually couldn't tell that my hair was growing from it but after my hairdresser said my hair was growing fast it made me think twice about ordering again. So next month I will be repurchasing it and will do a full on review for it to see just how good it does work and ill let you know :)

Do you have any tips for hair growth?

My Weekly Loves

My first love this week was my mum coming out of hospital after spending a week in there for a hysterectomy and cyst removal, I thought I would be a lot stronger about the situation but at the end of the day its my mum, the one person that will be there throughout everything and it hit me pretty hard saying bye to her before going into theater for surgery. Anyway, all went well after a few hiccups on the first day and now shes back home being as demanding as ever haha.

My second love new Ben & Jerry's Greek style frozen yogurt, strawberry shortcake flavour.

This stuff is soooo yummy! I don't really see a difference between frozen yogurt and ice cream except this seems a bit more creamier. Its strawberry frozen yogurt with frozen pieces of strawberry in it, now I don't like whole strawberry's usually but it turns out if there frozen, then I do! What really made choose this was the fact it has bits of shortcake biscuit in it, I love biscuits, ill have them over chocolate any day. They have more flavours in this range but Im not sure what they are :/.

Thirdly, 6 sparkly wine glasses.

These picture really do not give them justice to how sparkly they actually are. I love drinking wine out of one of these glasses, especially sat out in the garden with the sun shining on them now we've had some decent sun in England! They were made from a company off Facebook 'Blinging Beautiful' but there are loads of people doing them now.

My next love is the Sony XDR-DS16IPN 8-pin lightning docking station

Id been looking for a docking station for a while but a decent one is quite expensive so i choose littlewoods to order mine to help me along a little bit, the selection for a iPhone 5  one though was a bit poor, I wanted a standing speaker type but they only had the 16 pin for an IPhone 4 or lower. In the end after reading the reviews i choose this one, I'm glad I did its great, good sound quality, DAB and FM radio, audio in slot, it charges your phone as your listening to music and a little remote, perfect.

Keeping with the music theme I'm also loving Spotify at the moment its a great place to keep all my music in folders to keep them organised, it has every album and artist you could think of as well as the top 40 and playlist made up for you by Spotify to suit your mood. The free version is great if you only listen to music on your laptop at home with the Wi-Fi connected but for me I like to listen to music all time when i'm out and about, so I pay £9.99 a month for it for offline listening, especially in the boyfriends car when I take over and he has to listen to One Direction and Do You Wanna Build A Snowman haha he loves it really!

Lastly this week I loved getting away for the day with Nathan for a trip to Cleethorpes.

In this picture we was sat on the pier next to a restaurant having a drink in the sun, you can just about see the beach in the back ground. It was nice to get away for the day especially after the week I had with my mum and after all Naths efforts he still didn't win me a teddy on the grabbing machines in the arcades! Maybe next time.

Whats been your loves for the week?

Inversion Method For Hair Growth - An Inch In 7 Days??

After one of my many visit to YouTube to look at hair growth techniques I came across 'The Inversion Method'. Many people have had between half an inch and an inch growth in just 7 days, I'm not going lie this excited me haha, I'm on a quest for boob length hair, at the moment its at collar bone length so I've got a lot of growing to do! Obviously there was doubt about this I mean an inch in 7 days, really?!
All I could do was try, so here I am sat with sunflower oil over my head and scalp on day one of my inversion journey. Its best to do this just one week out of the month to get the best benefits from it, you dont want your hair to get used it.

The Inversion Method
  1. Heat up your oil - I think the preferred oil is olive but you can use any, I only chose sunflower because it was the cheapest. Of course you have to be careful heating it up, I heated it in the microwave checking every 15 secs till it was warm.
  2. Put onto your scalp - this isn't as messy as you think it would be, honest.
  3. Massage in for 2 mins - not everyone says to do this but I chose to, every little helps right?
  4. Tip your head forward for 4 mins - I sat on the edge of my bed to do this.
Unfortunately not everyone can do this method I probably should of mentioned this at the start but it is not advised to do if you have any of these conditions -
pregnancy, hernia, low or high blood pressure, recent stroke, heart or circulatory problems, glaucoma, conjunctivitis, detached retina, spinal injury, swollen joints, osteoporosis, unhealed fractures or injuries, ear infection.
Make sure you bring your head back up slowly afterwards, I felt a little light headed after so be careful.
  5. Optional step, put clingfilm/shower cap over your head - I didn't do this, just because I didn't want to use up my mums clingfilm haha, this just keeps the heat in better on your head - 'greenhouse effect'.
  6. Leave oil on your head for 2 hours then shampoo out.

Do this everyday for a week and you should see half an inch to an inch of hair growth, well we shall see. My hair started off at 13 inches so Ill make sure to check back in in a week and let you know my results.
Take a look online at the inversion method and see peoples results, let me know what you think. If you have already done the inversion method what were your results?

P.s If you have a dog he may try to lick/eat your hair ;/

My Skin Savior

Now this post may be a bit useless to some of you but hopefully really useful to those of                                  you who suffer from eczema as bad as I do.

You may be thinking 'just go to the doctors', the first time I did and for the price of two creams, one for moisturising another a steroid cream, I soon looked for a cheaper alternative when they ran out. While in the doctors one day my mum noticed a leaflet for eczema, on the leaflet was a bunch of 'Aveeno' products including a cream, lotion and bath and shower oil. I find using an oil on my skin really moisturising so I opted for the bath and shower oil.

I bought mine from amazon for a rather expensive (in my eyes) £8.12 for 250ml of product, still cheaper than the creams from the pharmacy though. It tells you to use two tablespoons into running bath water or use straight onto skin in a shower. The water goes a murky beige colour, personally I think it smells nice but may not be to everybody's taste.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! It soothes my skin during a flare up, I find myself hardly scratching at all, before using this my skin had scarred and was a much darker colour than the rest of my skin, luckily I suffer most on my thighs so its hidden (another reason why I didn't fancy a trip to the doctors), the dark skin has got considerably better. As your soaking in it its also working wonders on the rest of your skin, the smell stays on your skin afterwards even after using a body wash, you can feel the oil over your skin after drying and it feels a bit greasy (it doesn't last long) but I like this knowing that the product is on my skin.

I cannot fault this bath and shower oil. It is a miracle worker! For the sake of my skin I will be repurchasing and also trying out other products in the range.
